The International Economic
Development Council (IEDC) is a non-profit membership organization
dedicated to helping economic developers do their job more effectively
and raising the profile of the profession. When
we succeed, our members create more
high-quality jobs, develop more vibrant communities, and generally
improve the quality of life in their regions.
Pacific Northwest Economic Development Council (PNEDC)
The Pacific Northwest
Economic Development Council is a mulit-state/provincial council
dedicated to educating it's members through newsletters, articles and
conferences on economic activities that affect the region.

The Pacific Northwest
Regional Economic Conference is a non-profit organization established to
promote research and education on the economy of the Northwest states
and western Canada.
Vancouver Island Economic Developers Association (VIEDA)

Vancouver Island Economic Developers Association (VIEDA) is an
association of economic development professionals from coastal
communities in western Canada. We work with municipalities, regional
districts, non profits, governments and educational institutions who
want to encourage economic growth.

Vancouver Island Association of Wood Processors is a not-for-profit
organization that represents the interests of independent, value-added
wood products' manufacturers and specialty sawmills on Vancouver Island.
New Marine
Frontier (NMF)
'The
New Marine Frontier' is a VIEDA led program that brands and markets
the shellfish industry to potential shellfish partners and investors
from around the world. VIEDA attends trade shows in Canada, United
States and abroad with industry partners that are looking to sell
product in export markets.

of Aboriginal Economic Developers (CBCAED)
The Canadian Council for
Aboriginal Business (CCAB) is a national non-profit organization that
provides tools and resources to access Aboriginal people as partners,
employees, and customers. We promote the full participation of
Aboriginal people and communities in Canada's economy.
BC Aboriginal Business Portal (CABC)
The BC Aboriginal Business
Portal, is a single window to BC Aboriginal on-line resources, contacts,
information, and government programs and services. The portal offers
ease of access and navigation to listings of Aboriginal associations,
businesses, organizations, bands, communities, groups, news and peoples.
Small Business BC
Small Business BC involves
the business community directly in its operations, which enables the
development of private partnerships to complement and expand future
services.
